Welcome to City Club of Central Oregon

Our mission is to foster an informed community through dialogue and education that enhances responsible civic engagement.

As a 501 ©3 non-profit, we are led by the City Club of Central Oregon board of directors, the executive director and our volunteer committees.

We are supported through sponsorships, memberships, forum attendance, donations and grants.

In recent years, stories about Artificial Intelligence (AI) have dominated the media, stirring both excitement and concern. The ethical implications and transformative potential of AI are hotly debated topics. But what is AI really? What should you be worried about, and how can AI practically benefit you?

Join us for an enlightening discussion where we will demystify AI, address common concerns, and explore its practical applications. We will particularly focus on how AI is already integrated into everyday life right here in Central Oregon.

Speakers:

  • Justin Coats, CEO, NeeshAI
  • John Graham, Executive Director, Center for Business, Industry, and Professional Development (COCC)
  • Matti Neustadt, Founding Attorney, Forstai Cyber Kinetics, LLC.

Discover how AI is shaping our future, and learn what you need to know to navigate this rapidly evolving landscape. (Note, AI wrote this event description)

Continue the Conversation: City Club of Central Oregon’s Challenge Campaign

As Central Oregon continues to grow, City Club is committed to expanding its role in the region’s dialogue. The organization envisions a future where:

  1. Experts Share Broad-based Knowledge: City Club continues to feature leading voices and experts on topics that matter most to the community.
  2. Opportunities for Engagement are Expanded: The organization aims to create  informal opportunities and varied meeting times and locations to allow a greater diversity of  community members to share their ideas directly with opinion leaders.
  3. Inclusivity is Ensured: City Club will offer opportunities for free attendance, ensuring a broad range of voices from the community are included.

To bring this vision to life, City Club has already raised $25,000 through the generous support of current and former board members. The Challenge Campaign seeks to raise an additional $10,000 to reach a total of $35,000. Join us by making a donation today.
