On October 17, City Club welcomed Elise Keith and Jeff Spitzer, Co-Chairs of the Oregon Statewide Alliance for Braver Angels for an interactive forum aimed at helping attendees better understand that our values unite us more than our politics divide us. Throughout the evening, participants engaged in a fun and eye-opening activity to illustrate where people fall on a belief spectrum with issues like whether they prefer cats or dogs, to whether they believe in open borders or no immigration at all. Everyone was able to engage in prompted conversations with other attendees, which led to some wonderful insights that were shared with the larger group, including the importance and value of intergenerational conversations.
Given the format of this forum it was not recorded, but Central Oregon Daily News did a great story on this event. Check out the story here!
