As we are engaged in social distancing, we may feel a bit isolated and alone.

We always pull together in Central Oregon and this is no exception. There are many kind people and selfless organizations in our community who are working to respond to the needs of their neighbors during this challenging time.

On Wednesday, March 18 at 2pm, we will be hosting a FaceBook Live featuring two of these community helpers.

Morgan Schmidt and Anne Marie Daggett created Pandemic Partners Bend, a FaceBook group that pairs volunteers with those in need. This can include running errands, picking up groceries, getting help with technology to stay connected to loved ones, rides to appointments, etc. The group has fast become a grassroots community hub for information, help and humanity.

So please check out our livestream tomorrow. City Club has had no experience in this area of technology but have great partners to assist. OSU-Cascades co-lab, Scott Brees and board member Harrison Womack will be along with us for our test drive. Be ready for a “we’re going live as we think this thing through” experience. After all, it’s all in the name of community.
