The final in a series of candidate forums for positions on the Oregon ballot for the primary election, the Democrat candidates for Secretary of State joined us to share their platforms. Candidates included:

Candidates answered questions regarding their qualifications, the unique challenges of Deschutes County, economic recovery and resource credibility around COVID-19, affordable housing, urban growth boundaries, land usage, and county commissioner partisanship.

Ron L. Boozell has served in the U.S. Navy and is a former small-business owner
Greg Bryant is the current Vice President of the Deschutes River Woods Neighborhood Association as well as a member of the Bend Transportation Advisory Committee. He is a Vietnam War Veteran and worked as accountant for more than 30 years.
Philip Chang’s professional experience includes work in renewable energy, natural resources, watershed management and public policy. His prior governmental includes the Oregon Department of Forestry, Sen. Jeff Merkley and the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council.
