City Club thrives on the enthusiastic participation of its members!

Many who support us with their time and talent do so as members of one of several excellent committees. Others choose to help with Special Events or as events volunteers at registration and elsewhere.  Whatever your interest is, we can likely put it to good use!

City Club Committees

City Club relies upon and is honored by the generous time and effort provided by our dedicated Committee members.  This is a list of current City Club committees.


The Programs Committee researches and plans the City Club’s hallmark monthly forums. Whether choosing and coordinating with the best possible speakers or determining the critical points of discussion, this committee is at the heart of the City Club mission.

Meetings are held from 4:00 – 5:30 the Wednesday following the City Club monthly forum.

The Membership Committee works to meet the Club’s objective to be a vibrant force in the civic life of Central Oregon. The committee focuses on recruiting and retaining members with the outreach and communications strategies that are influenced by the results of ongoing data collection. This group leads a variety of outreach efforts, including:

  • Welcoming new members and helping them find a home at City Club.
  • Contacting potential and lapses members as needed.
  • Working with Table Hosts for guest engagement and member options.
  • Organizing an annual Membership Drive.

The Membership Committee welcomes any member with energy and commitment. participation on this committee is a great volunteer/professional development experience for members who have interest and/or expertise in grass roots leadership, public relations, communications or assisting with events.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, noon – 1:30pm.

The mission of the City Club extends throughout the Central Oregon region.  The Marketing Committee ensures that the region knows the importance of that work.

The Finance Committee oversees finances, fundraising and development activities, ensuring that City Club remains an ever leader in the civic conversation.
